The earthiness of the mushrooms and the intensity of tuna, combined well in the creamy tomato sauce to impart a very bold yet not overpowering flavor to the pasta. Sprinkle on some chili flakes for that extra spice kick!

You need –
- Pasta (any short pasta) – 1 cup
- Canned Tuna – 150 grams
- Mushrooms- thinly sliced 1/2 cup
- Canned tomato (chopped) – 1/2 cup
- Cheddar cheese- 1 cup
- Parmesan- 1/4 cup
- Garlic – 1 clove
- Cream – 1/2 cup
- Oregano- 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt n pepper- to taste
- Olive oil – 2 teaspoons
How to –
Cook the pasta in a pot of boiling salted water till al dente. Turn your oven to the grill mode on high.
While the pasta is cooking, in a pan heat some olive oil and add the minced garlic and sauté till fragrant.
Add the tomatoes and cook till soft, add oregano. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook till done. Pour in the cream and cook for about 2-3 minutes. Turn the heat off.
Drain the pasta, reserving some pasta water. Put the pasta back in the pan and add the tuna, tomato sauce and mix well. Add the reserved pasta water if too dry. Check for seasoning!
Layer the pasta in a baking dish and scattering the cheddar cheese in between. Finally sprinkle the Parmesan on top and bake till the cheese has melted and turns golden. Mine took about 4 mins.
Delicious pasta bake is ready! Serve immediately.
